Enough medicine blogging. The rest of this year I will list my favorites in various media – TV, movies, music and books. Today’s list involves TV shows. I record shows and generally watch at my convenience. These are the shows that I watch first if I have a list from which to choose. Your comments are welcome
1. Homeland (Showtime) – just watched the season finale. Several friends told me that I had to watch this show. Great acting, and legitimate tension. Follows somewhat in the footsteps of 24.
2. Sherlock (PBS from England) – great adaptations of Sherlock Holmes, made current. Why do we Americans so often love British series? I like Elementary also, but this was much higher quality. I hope they make more episodes.
3. Downton Abbey (also English, PBS) – classic English class (think upstairs, downstairs) drama/soap opera. Occurs before and during WWI. I have recently being catching up to watch the new series that starts in January.
4. Castle – i just like all the characters
5. Arrow – an intriguing guilty pleasure
Runners up – mostly USA network shows – Burn Notice, Common Law, Suits, Royal Pains
Actually the best show on TV is Morning Joe – they actually discuss politics without screaming or much hyperbole.
